Pita Bread

 

Nota: din aceasta compozitie se vor face maxim 8 paini dar totul depinde de marimea pe care o alegeti sa faceti painicile deci pot fii mai multe sau mai putine.
Note: From this composition you can make about 8 Pita depending tho on the size of the breads.

-          3 1/2 cani faina                                          Cup Flour
-          1 lingurita sare                                           Teaspoon salt
-          1 1/2 lingurita drojdie uscata                  Teaspoon  yeast
-          1 lingurita zahar                                        Teaspoon sugar
-          2 linguri ulei masline                                Spoon olive oil  
-          1 1/2 cana apa calaie                                Warm water
-          Amidon de porumb pentru                     Cornstarch for flattening the dough.

1        Intr-un bol mare se adauga apa,uleiul de masline,  drojdia, sarea si zaharul si se lasa la dospit 5 minute sau pana se activeaza drojdia.(maia) 
        In a big bowl put the water, olive oil, yeast, salt and sugar & they let to grow 5 minutes.
2        Se face un cuib in faina si se adauga maiaua si se incorporeaza usor faina iar apoi se framanta pana ce aluatul se desprinde de pe castron. Se pune in loc caldutz si se lasa la dospit 30 de minute.
         It is made a hole in the middle of the flour and there is aded the dough made earlier in wich it starts to add flour from the sides of the hole and it is kneat untill the dough wont stick on the bowl any longer. It is left to rest for 30 minutes in a warm place.
3        Se separa in 8 parti egale si se formeaza bile care se aplatizeaza pana ce sunt de aproximatic 1 cm grosime. Se da cu pudra de amidon si apoi se inteapa cu furculita fara sa se strapunga.
         The dough it is separated in 8 or more equal parts and there are formed balls that are flattened till they become of around 1 cm thickness. They are poudered with cornstarch than stabbed with a fork without beeing pricked.
4        Se pune o tigaie gratar sau una de Teflon pea aragaz la foc medium. 
         It is puted a grill or teflon pan on the medium heat.
5        Se adauga putin ulei de vegetale intr-un bol si se intinde putin pe tigaie fara sa aibe excese (cat sa nu se lipeasca painea)
         It is added a lil bit of vegetable oil in a bowl and it is spreaded a lil bit on the frying pan without any excess (just as much as the bread would not stick)
6        Se pune aluatul in tigaie si se prajeste cate 2 minute pe fiecare parte sau pana ce incep sa se umfle.
         The dough is put in frypan and start to fry around 2 minutes on each side or untill it starts to swell. 
7        Se pun painicile facute astfel pe un prosop de bucatarie si se acopera. Se continua cu urmatoarea paine pana sunt toate facute.
       The ready made breads are left on a kitchen cloth and they kept covered untill all  the breads are ready

8        Se servesc calde cu curry sau alte preparate indiene.
        They are served hot with curry or other dishes.
